Notice and takedown
All reasonable efforts have been made to trace ownership of copyright and to obtain permissions. However, should you discover that the SHS digitisation programme does infringe any copyright you may possess, please send details, in writing or via email, using the template available. This outlines the information the SHS will need to identify the volume that is the subject of your complaint.
On receipt of your complaint the SHS will:
- acknowledge your complaint;
- remove or suspend access to the volume(s) or specific item(s) pending investigation of the complaint;
- where necessary seek professional legal advice on your complaint;
- investigate your complaint in full and contact you with the result of this investigation and what action the SHS has taken/will take;
- remove the resource permanently from the repository, if the investigation finds in your favour, unless you give the SHS permission to retain it.
